Sweet Lunch bag

Sweet Lunch bag

Beautiful Thursday here. How are you there?

I’d like to share my lunch bag tutorial today.

I made two lunch bags for my daughters when they were 1st grade and Kindergartner. It was hard to find right size lunch bag for 6 years old girl’s lunch box at the store. So I measured my girl’s lunch box and create the exact size lunch bag that I no longer worried about a pretty packed lunch ruined on the way to school.

*all seams are 0.25inch

Step1. Measure your lunch box and decide the wide and the hight. Allow space for easy putting in and out. I add about 1 inch each side.

Step2. Prepare 2 fabrics for outside and inside.

Step3.Put right side together, sew both opening side.

Step4. Fold 0.25inch and sew where string supposed go in.

Step5.Sew 1inch down so the string goes in.

Step6.Bias both side.

*This is the look after finishing.

Step7.For the bottom, sew as the same wide of the lunch box.

Step8.Put right side out.

Step9.For the bottom, I cut a plastic folder as the size of lunch box.

Step10.Cove the plastic folder with the same fabric. *optional.

I hope my lunch bag idea is helpful.

Have a good day today!
