Whether we want them or not, the New Year will bring new challenges;

whether we seize them or not, the New Year will bring new opportunities.

When I woke up this morning I found out that there were almost 400 Pattern download registrations!

I could notice the power of “FREE”. 😉

I am so excited to see all your makes and 2017 will be a new chapter for Sewing Illustration.

Thank you so much for joining my Pincushion SewAlong and share your talent with us.

Tonight will be sleepless, my friend.

Did you know that I used dark purple thread?

Try variety colors instead of focusing on black or brown thread only. That’s my secret tip for you. 😉

I cut fabrics 3.5inch square and sew with 1/4″ seam allowance. Finished pincushion size is 3″ suqare.

And you may already knew, I used;

Stem-A-Seam 2 fusible web by Warm Company.

Liberty fabrics from Ava and Neve

Linen mix fabric from JoAnn Fabric store

Aurifil 2000, Aurifil 1240, both 50-weight

Cotton ribbons from Dailylike Canada

Don’t forget to post your pincushions with hashtag #pincushion2017SAL and #SewIllustrated.

Again, Happy New Year, my friend!
