Wrap your notebook with fabric and measure. I made 1/8inch bigger than the notebook size and add 1/4inch seams.

I usually draw directly on the fabric but if you are not comfortable, I recommend drawing on the paper first and then trace them on the fabric.

That way, you can create multiful images for future use.

Cut colorful fabrics as in the picture if you want to add some colors as I did. Glue the fabric pieces with all purpose glue or fabric glue if you have it. I just used Tackyglue.

Hand stitch or machine sewing the outline.

Cut 2 pieces of fabric and fold them in half. Place them on each side of the cover edges.  These are going to be the pockets that you can put your notebook in.

Put the inner fabric on top of it and sew all the way, leaving a hole to reverse.

After reverse, close the hole by hand . Write “dear diary” using erasable pen and hand stitch.
