Happy Flower Quilts book reminded me of my very first trip to a local quilt shop in Korea almost 15 years ago. I was in between of jobless that time and was looking for something to kill time. As I had always wondered what’s happening behind the showwindow of that cute quilt shop, I stepped in with my sister and that changed my life. The shop was filled with all kinds of handmade beauties such as mini quilts, bear dolls, dolls, home shoes, quilts hats…and lots of cute fabrics. On the center, there was very long worktable and ladies of different ages were sitting around andRead More →

It rained today. My 10 year Chloe said “it rains cat and dogs.” then my 6 year Claire asked “where’s cats and dogs?” As a Korean, this expression doesn’t make sense to me for I see many cats and dogs play like besties. It rained like two dogs on the street. 😉 “I will save you!” Claire said. 🙂   A happy mail from Ministry of Fabric came along with rain.   They are Sevenberry fabrics, Cotton and Steel and Dear Stella. It always surprise me when someone selected fabrics just like I picked them. I remember many gifts I didn’t really like; plates, clothes, homeRead More →

When I first discovered Kerri’s first book “Lovely Little Patchwork” from Tuva Publishing this spring, I fell in love with her vintage-y patchwork and her raw-edge applique. So I was super excited to be part of Lovely Little Patchwork Blog Tour! It was hard to choose where to start first but my little girl wanted mama to make her this lemonade mini for her dolly play. My fabric choice was Minny Muu collection by Lecien Fabrics. I’ve saved these colorful fun fabrics for today!   In her book, she made a Lemonade Jug Rug. I enlarged the size so I can also use as a snack mat.Read More →

Hello! Welcome to my stop on the High Tea Party Blog Tour! This new collection by Jera of Quilting in the rain (for Lecien Fabrics) is one of my favorite new releases. The colors are so sweet and charming with various strawberry prints and these tiny floral prints are just adorable.   I have always wanted to make a baby quilt for my little Claire and I am so happy that I met just the right fabrics.       The charm pack was the perfect sized canvas for my little artist. I hope you would love them as much as I do.     Small box contains 10 small spools. They are perfect for the Sewing illustration beginners who would like to try thread drawing.
