It’s that season again where we crafters get to show off and share our creations!
One day I called my friend for a cup of coffee and she said she was sick in bed. Instead of making chicken noodle soup (because I don’t know how to), I made a get-well card for her. That evening I walked to her door and hand my “paper soup” to her husband. My friend got better next day and I guess my soup made out of fabric scraps must had some cureing ingredient.
I am obesessed with my girls’ drawing. Maybe because I don’t have any drawings of mine left when I was my girl’s age. My mom saved every awards, an apron I made and even a perfect attendance slip but not my writings or sketches. I often wonder if my drawing was as good as my girls or how it woul feel like compare to my kids’. So again, I traced my 4 years old Claire’s drawing and colored it with copic markers. All of my three daughters love to draw. Whenever I go out, I would usually toss into my bag pieces of coloring paper, crayons, and something to write with for my kids to keep busy. When I’m in hurry, I would forget to bring crayons or pencils. So often I find myself sheepishly asking the waiter to borrow pens for my kids to doodle on napkins. But that’s a thing of the past.
