Another incredible week on the Sew Illustrated blog tour!  I can’t get enough of these gorgeous projects from this all-star line-up of makers! Starting us off this week is the brilliant Debbie at Happy Little Cottage. She stitched up the most adorable pincushions and tea mat. I love her fabric choices! I want both a tea cup and a sewing machine in that print! She made me this gorgeous pincushion and it brighten my sewing table everyday. 🙂 Melissa from Generation Q magazine shares her first experience with sewing illustration and all the reasons it makes her happy. I love how she embraces our adviceRead More →

The premier issue of Modern Patchwork Gifts is out! I have been waiting for this moment because I’ve got a project published in that I hope you will enjoy as much as I do. 🙂             When I made this pouch, I thought I would use as my sewing pouch so I took pictures with handful of spools. Oh well, if I have chance to go on a trip, I would definitely call it “Travel Pouch” 😉   Hope you have a sew happy day! Minki        Read More →

Wow! What an amazing week it has been on the Sew Illustrated Blog Tour! We have had six amazingly talented makers who have stitched up a wonderful variety of projects from Sew Illustrated. First up there was the talented Amy Sinibaldi over at nana company. I’m sure you all know Amy, the author behind the popular book Sweetly Stitched Handmades, and the fabric designer of the gorgeous lines Paperie and Playground from AGF. Her pincushions and notions basket are so adorable in her Playground fabric line. Amy made me this postcard wall pocket and tea coaster. I recreated my version of wall pocket and coaterRead More →

“Want to play with Sweet Orchard?” My stop on Sweet Orchard Blog Tour has all started with this one line. I have tasted Sedef  ‘s first collection Sweet Orchard   last spring for her  Spring Quilt market booth. Oh, how sweet they were! I wished I had more!! She let me taste only a bite of each piece and I had to be very careful not to waste a bit. I was like a six year girl browsing at See’s Candy shop and you know they offer you only a piece of chocolate for free and you have to be with your mama for more.Read More →

Hello! Welcome to my stop on the High Tea Party Blog Tour! This new collection by Jera of Quilting in the rain (for Lecien Fabrics) is one of my favorite new releases. The colors are so sweet and charming with various strawberry prints and these tiny floral prints are just adorable.   I have always wanted to make a baby quilt for my little Claire and I am so happy that I met just the right fabrics.       The charm pack was the perfect sized canvas for my little artist. I gave her the bright neutral color prints  and Frixion pen. IRead More →

I am so excited to announce that my Aurifil thread box will be out on middle of August.         It was not easy to choose only 12 spools when there are so many I can’t live without. My collection is great for the sewing illustration. These colors and weights are my favorite threads that I have frequently used. I hope you would love them as much as I do.     Small box contains 10 small spools. They are perfect for the Sewing illustration beginners who would like to try thread drawing. I often combine a range of thread weights when IRead More →
